Ralph Hotere is one of New Zealand’s most famous contemporary artists—a painter and sculptor who mixes minimalism with political commentary and monochromatic palettes with shining metals. The Hotere Garden Oputae is located on Constitution Street in Port Chalmers, right near the flagstaff. There is a top notch view of the port and the harbor.
