Approaching Your Copywriting Project

BRIEFING: It starts with a video conversation or an email chat about your needs. I like to give clients the space & time to decide if I’m the right fit for the project. Once you’re happy, I can draw up a freelance contract.

RESEARCH: Strong freelance copywriting starts with data. I will work closely with you to learn about your business, your target markets, and your campaign goals. Writing a short-form ad is different from writing a website, and I always want my work to fit into your coordinated marketing approach.

DEVELOPMENT: When the first draft is complete, I will consult with you to make sure I have achieved the right tone and feel for your needs. Then we can approach any subsequent drafts & edits with a clear direction. It usually only takes 1-2 drafts before my clients reach the finish line!
